Area players heading to All-American Games

Three local softball players have earned a chance to travel to the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) All-American Games in Florida from Aug. 1-6. Joey Hurst, a Monessen native, and Perryopolis residents Kendall Minnick and Emme Travalena tried out and made the cut to represent their respective age groups in the Direct Invite division. Hurst will be playing for 13U DI Red, Travalena will participate with 11U DI Black, and Minnick will join 9U DI Green for the tournament.
