The daughter of the late James C. and Lillian (Schwer) Chadwick Sr., she was a lifelong resident of Donora until 2019 and a 1945 graduate of Donora High School. Pleasant; along with nieces and nephews, especially Judy Mrlack, who would often bring her aunt goodies from the bakery. Charlotte started her career as a secretary in the Donora school system. She then worked at the milk store in downtown Donora, where she is remembered for wearing the familiar red smock, and then as a clerk at Louie’s Bakery in Charleroi. In her later years, she served the Community Park Trustees and Mon Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce and the former John K. Tener Library, both based in Charleroi, through the Green Thumb Program. In between her lengthy working career, Charlotte was involved with the Donora Unidon Club, auxilian for the Donora Elks Lodge and Spanish Women’s Bowling League and was a neighborhood election poll worker. She served as past president for Donora Youth Athletic Association, for which she received an award for her help to young athletes in 1983. A special thanks goes out to Hallsworth House PCH and ViaQuest Hospice, who took care of Charlotte and made her last days comfortable and peaceful.
