Robert Earl Fretz Jr., 65, of Monongahela, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022. He was born June 20, 1957, in North Charleroi, son of the late Robert E. Fretz Sr. and Irma Henry Fretz of Speers Hill, who survives. Robert graduated from Charleroi High School in the Class of 1975. In his youth Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing and trips to Ocean City, Md. Robert retired from USX Clairton Works in 2012. In addition to his mother, Robert is survived by his wife, Janice Altier Fretz; his daughter, Jessica Fretz Taylor (Chris); his son, Jerad Fretz; his sisters, Linda Copeland (Kevin) and Lori Savko (Dean); three grandchildren, Alayna, Lucas and Logan Taylor; and his nephew, Michael Copeland. In addition to his father, Robert was preceded in death by two infant sons, Robert E. Fretz III and Justin Lee Fretz. Per Robert’s request there will be no visitation and services. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES INC.
