Roland “Lundo” Anthony Ruscitti, age 91, went home to his Lord and Savior, Je-sus Christ on Saturday, June 11, 2022. Roland was born to Frank and Fannie Ruscitti on July 13, 1930, in McKeesport. He met his beautiful wife, Mary Horvath, at a local diner near his own family restaurant, the Peasant Village, where he served the local community and his family long and well. The two married on May 12, 1953, and went on to have five children: Desiree, Roxanne, Michelle, Melanie and Frank Roland. Roland was a Korean War Army veteran and learned the art of cooking during his service in Europe. He was handsome, strong, charming, had a wonderful sense of humor and he loved his family. He enjoyed cooking, bowling, children and loved being outdoors, whether hunting, gathering wood or just sitting in his rocking chair chatting with the neighbors. Roland was preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary; his precious daughter, Roxanne; his parents; and his brother, Donald. He is survived by four children and their spouses; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and beloved sister, Donna. A private family memorial will be held.
