Nicholas William Evans – Belle Vernon

Nicholas William Evans, 27, of Belle Vernon, lost his battle with mental illness and passed away peacefully, surrounded by his sisters, on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at UPMC Hamot Hospital. He was born June 26, 1994, in Gadsden, Al, and was the son of Gary Roy Evans (Teri) of Rostraver Township and Lisa Uhlman Evans-Riggle of Belle Vernon. Nick was a 2013 graduate of Belle Vernon High School, where he enjoyed football and writing and performing raps. He had a strong faith and belief in God, a great love for his family, and a passion for fishing. In addition to his parents, he is survived by four sisters Emily Shawley (Jason) of Rostraver Township, Julie Evans of Belle Vernon, Alyssa Evans (Christian Watt) of Beaver, and Stephanie Rygiel (Michael) of Belle Vernon, and two brothers Gary Joseph Evans (Chelsea) of Houston, TX, and Edward Evans of Belle Vernon, maternal grandmother Terriann Uhlman of Rostraver Township, stepsister Samantha Salzer of Rostraver Township, and four nephews and four nieces, Anthony, Mason, Jackson, Thorn, Julianna, Quinn, Peyton and Riley. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edward & Norma Evans, and maternal grandparents, Joseph and Mary Uhlman. A memorial visitation will be held Friday from 2-4 PM in the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. In place of flowers, the family is requesting donations in Nicholas’ honor to either the PSAN Mission via peer-support.org or the NAMI Keystone Pennsylvania via namikeystonepa.org.
