Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital president to retire

For decades, Louis J. Panza Jr. has steered the ship at a community-oriented hospital in Carroll Township.
In the early years of his career — and through most of his time there as president — it was known as Monongahela Valley Hospital. Today, it’s known as Penn Highlands Mon Valley. Panza on Wednesday announced he is set to retire by the end of this year. But, his retirement date is dependent upon the completion of a national search for a successor.
