Henry J. Taddeo Jr., 73, of Monongahela, died Saturday, May 21, 2022, in Penn Highlands Mon-Valley Hospital. Born Oct. 28, 1948, in Monongahela, he was the son of the late Henry J. Sr. and Julia A. Vigliotti Taddeo. Henry graduated from Pennsbury High School. He worked at various jobs through the years until he settled on a career as a commercial truck driver where he continued working as a driver for approximately 17 years until he retired in 2013. Henry enjoyed his job, especially the challenges of driving a semi-trailer. A United States Navy veteran, Henry was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, who never missed a game, and you would often receive phone calls and texts from him during the games giving you updates or commenting on how they were playing. He was survived by his daughter, Christina L. Taddeo of Trevose, Pa.; and numerous family including cousins. Preceding him in death was his son, Michael S. Taddeo and his granddaughter, Rachael C. Taddeo. At Henry’s request there are no funeral or memorial services immediately planned and the family will notify loved ones in the future when a service is scheduled. MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, was in charge of the arrangements. Condolences can be made at marshallmarrafuneralhome.com. Memorial contributions can be made in Henry’s name to the Washington Area Humane Society, 1527 PA-136, Eighty Four, PA 15330.
