Jane Raicos Dorincz – Fallowfield Township

By obits

Jane Raicos Dorincz, 83, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on May 26, 2022. Born in Fallowfield Township on Dec. 14, 1938, Jane was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Florence Sisley Raicos. A secretary at Fallowfield School and then an aide in the Charleroi School District, Jane worked for both schools for over 39 years. She was a member of the Athene and Charthene clubs and was an avid shopper. Having grown up at the Raicos family greenhouse, Jane loved watching everything come to bloom during her favorite spring season. Jane will be remembered for her kindness; she loved everybody, and everybody loved her. She loved spending her free time with friends and family whom she loved with all her heart. Surviving to cherish Jane’s memory are her daughter, Diane (husband Richard) Nonack of Fallowfield Township; and her son, Steven Dorincz of Fallowfield Township; grandchildren; Samantha and Sarah Nonack; and sister-in-law, Helen Raicos. In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Charles B. Dorincz; her sister, Elaine Powis; and her brothers, Herman and George Raicos.  Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 30, 2022, at HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC. (formerly Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home), 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2022, with Father Stephen Wahal officiating. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions in Jane’s name be made to the Charleroi Area School District Education Foundation (CASDEF), P.O. Box 382, Charleroi, PA 15022 or OSPTA Foundation, 4325 State Route 51, Belle Vernon, PA 15012. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.hogan-melenyzer.com.
