Lynn W. Stablein Sr., 83, of Pleasant Hills, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at St. Clair Hospital. Son of the late George W. and Elsie Smith Stablein, he was born in Charleroi on May 28, 1938. Since 2003 Lynn was a resident of Pleasant Hills, where he was a member of St. Thomas A. Becket Roman Catholic Church. He was a former resident of Belle Vernon, where he was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. He taught biology at Thomas Jefferson High School in Jefferson Hills for over 35 years. Lynn was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who enjoyed following his children and grandchildren in their school and sporting events. He was a very industrious man who designed and built his first home and loved woodworking. He was a longtime volunteer paramedic with Rostraver Township Ambulance Service. He could do so many things and did all of them well. He was loved and will be missed by all who survive him, including his wife of 62 years, Eileen Jupin Stablein; his two daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly and Jack Parent of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Amy and Christopher Georgulis of Jefferson Hills; his son and daughter-in-law, Lynn Jr. and Kathleen Stablein of Springfield, Va.; his sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Daryl Holler of Reading; seven grandchildren, Nicholas and his wife Morgan, Michael and Emily Stablein, Matthew and Jessica Parent, and Noah and Luke  Georgulis; and one great-grandson, Benjamin Stablein. In addition to his parents, Lynn was preceded in death by three brothers, George, Robert and Thomas Stablein.   Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. A blessing service will be in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2022, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon with the Rev. Michael Crookston, pastor, as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research in care of www.MichaelJFox.org.
