Jean Rita Cislak Hevia – Donora

Jean Rita Cislak Hevia, 92, of Donora, passed away on April 30, 2022, at Jefferson Hospital. She was born Dec. 28. 1929, the daughter of the late Blanche Druzik Cislak and the late Nick Cislak. She was the last surviving member of her family of nine children, Helen Yanosick, Mary Pankiewicz, Sally Kuczynski, Ann Sobek, Caroline Kidzinski, Joseph Cislak, Rudy Cislak and Henry Cislak. Mrs. Hevia was a graduate of Donora High School and a retired employee of Thorofare Supermarket, where she worked for 29 years. She was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish in Donora. In addition to her parents and siblings, Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Fred Hevia; and son-in-law, Dan Palm. Surviving to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Bobbi Jean Fabean and her husband Robert and Diane Palm, both of Donora; six grandchildren, Rob Fabean and wife Kristy, Jeff Fabean, Fred Fabean and wife Lauren, Dan Sr. and wife Allison, Dean Palm and wife Rachna and Darcey Mamone and husband Jordan. She also had 14 great-grandchildren, Malea, Mason, Troy, Tristen, Laney and Palmer Fabean, Dan Jr., Vincent, Josie, Jake and Riana Palm, Corinne Garda, Carter Mamone and Taya Sears; a sister-in-law, Alice Cislak; and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Carroll Township/Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial Mass for Jean at 10 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2022, in St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, Donora. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery.
