McKeesport firefighters install smoke detectors at city homes

Fire Chief Jeff Tomovcsik said McKeesport Fire Department is embarking on an additional effort to ensure homes stay fire safe, and that effort began yesterday on International Firefighters Day. City firefighters used the special day to talk fire safety with residents, to replace batteries in some smoke detectors and install new ones in some homes.
