It’s Etched in Stone: The need for role models

Every little boy and girl has a burning need to have some man or woman, be they real or fictitious, to look upon with admiration. These role models, in this humble writer’s opinion, should be morally sound, loving and possess a Christ-like attitude toward life. At the top of this hero/ heroine list should be a loving mom and dad. Unfortunately, they do not exist in all families. This is especially true in so many cases when young minds turn to other sources to model. Too often those sources lead those developing minds into drugs, alcohol or a multitude of other self-defeating traits. These young people need strong role models to follow. Where indeed has Joe DiMaggio gone?
