Kathleen B. Kapty Dacko, 73, of Perryopolis, passed away Friday, April 29, 2022, at her home. Born April 30, 1948, in Monessen, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Catherine Barch Kapty. A lifelong resident of the Mon Valley, she previously lived in Monessen and Belle Vernon. After retiring from PNC Bank in 2012, she worked at Keystone Bakery as well as Gene and Boots Candies. Kathy was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Perryopolis and enjoyed volunteering at numerous parish activities. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Dr. Christopher A. Dacko of Pittsburgh and Michael J. Dacko and wife Katie of Oakmont. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Kapty; nephew, Robert Kapty and wife Sue Ellen; niece, Laura Farmer; a great-niece; three great-nephews; and several cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert W. Kapty. Kathy’s proudest accomplishments were her sons. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her two children. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2022, at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 191 Liberty St., Perryopolis, 724-736-2515. Prayers of transfer will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home, followed by an 11 a.m. funeral Mass at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Rodolfo Mejia as celebrant.
