Robert William Hemphill, 81, of Monongahela, died unexpectedly Monday, April 25, 2022, in his home. He was born March 21, 1941, in Canonsburg, son of the late Merle Simon and Leona Marie Russell Hemphill. Bob was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Equitable Gas with over 30 years of employment. He was a member of the NRA and American Legion Post 945. Bob loved fishing, hunting, golfing and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and NASCAR. He is survived by two daughters, Tami and husband Randy Tackett of Pickerington, Ohio, and Terri Hemphill of Blacklick, Ohio; two granddaughters, Casey and Alex Tackett; sister, Eileen Corey of Canonsburg; two nieces, Lisa and Jill Frye; and a nephew, Eric Frye.
