Emma Augustine had a day she’ll never forget, and made sure teams in Class 4A don’t forget she’s one of the top hitters in the classification.
Augustine went 5 for 5 with three doubles and a three-run homer to help lead the Cougars (8-1, 6-1) to a 20-2 win at Ringgold Wednesday.
The Cougars pounded out 20 hits compared to only three for the Rams (2-10, 1-8).
Madi Horvat finished with four hits and three RBIs, and McKenzie Pritts added three hits. Freshman Adoria Waldier added a double, single and three RBIs.
