Helena Dukery Laskey, 72, of Monongahela, formerly of Carroll Township, passed away April 24, 2022, at Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. Helena’s work experience includes Bassi Law Firm, Hills Restaurant and Cyberdyne in New Eagle, housecleaning and Ringgold School District as a teacher’s aide and in the high school cafeteria. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Monongahela. In her younger days, Helena enjoyed league bowling, motorcycles, racing her Mustang and with her children, riding bicycles, walking and going for car cruises. After being her mother’s caregiver for 13 years, her new and most enjoyed hobby was making funny collages specific to the person she loved. The family encourages all to join them for Helena’s celebration party following the service until 10 p.m. at Monongahela (Black Diamond) VFW Post 1409. Any monetary contribution will be donated in her name to Washington Women’s Shelter or can be mailed directly to the office, 371 Lowhill Road, Brownsville, PA 15417.
