George Richard Price Jr., 66, of North Charleroi, passed away at home on Friday, April 22, 2022. He was born in Connellsville on Sept 27, 1955, son of the late George Richard Price Sr. and Fannie V. Walters Price of Smock, who survives. Rick was a graduate of Uniontown High School, Class of 1973. He retired from Douglas Education Center, Monessen in 2021 after 11 years as a maintenance supervisor. He was president of the Slavic Citizens Club in Charleroi. His favorite pastimes were spending time with his girlfriend, Connie, fishing and hunting and spending time at the club with his friends. In addition to his mother, Rick is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Connie McGavitt; one son, Logan Price (Brandy); granddaughter, Maci; sister, Cheryl Greenwald; brother, Rory (Jill) Price; and several nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his extended family, Eddie McGavitt (Cheryl); Cathy Lisovich (Chuck); Robin Greco (Mario); Traci Yates; and their families. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 305 Rear Independence St., Perryopolis, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 28, 2022. Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Slavic Citizens Club, 501 Center Ave., Charleroi. Interment is private. Condolences can be left at www.blair-lowther.com.
