Doreen A. DeUnger, 75, of North Charleroi, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2022. Born in North Char- leroi on Oct. 7, 1946, Doreen was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ardes Lisko Sloboda. Graduating from Charleroi High school Class of 1965, Doreen worked for Corning Glass in Charleroi and then Campbell Transportation for many years until her retirement. Doreen could always be found with a smile on her face. Whether it was cheering on her grandchildren at sporting events, preparing for the holidays or planning the yearly “DeUnger family vacation,” Doreen’s life revolved around her family. A loving “Mamal,” mother and wife, she will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Surviving to cherish Doreen’s memory are her husband of 50 years, Gary DeUnger; her two sons, Brian DeUnger and Scott (Renee) DeUnger; grandchildren, Katelyn (Kirk) Melenyzer and McKenna and Brody Dallas DeUnger; great-grandchildren, Paisley, KJ and Madisyn; her sister, Nancy (Rodger) Lewis; and her sister-in-law, Colleen (Roger) Quimby. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2022, at HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC. (formerly Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home), 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2022.
