Helen S. Ciccarelli, 94, of Monessen, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 15, 2022, at her home. She was born on July 13, 1927, in New Kensington, the daughter of the late Vincent and Stefania Kacperski Bojarski, and moved to Monessen when she was seven years old. Helen was a 1945 graduate of Monessen High School and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church. She was an active member at Mon Valley Hospital with the Mon Vale Health Resources Auxiliary having volunteered for 29 years. Helen also enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Society in Belle Vernon and Monessen. She loved to paint in oils and pastels, work in stained glass and crochet. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Ciccarelli, whom she married in 1948, at the former St. Hyacinth Church on Reed Avenue. She was also preceded by a brother, John Bojaraki; and by two sisters, Edna Zaydel and Wanda Walos. She is survived by her four children, Mark (Kimberly) Ciccarelli of Belle Vernon, Joel Ciccarelli of Albuquerque, N.M., Dianne Ciccarelli of Greensburg, and Adrianne Ciccarelli (Mark) Cooper of Verona; her grandchildren, Melanie (Roy) Lenhardt of North Huntingdon, Scott Ciccarelli of Albuquerque, N.M., Jordan Ciccarelli of Madison, Wis., and Bryan Traylor; her great-grandchildren, Madeline, Dimetri, Ari, Brooke, Kenley, Carmine, Katie, and Sydney; and by nieces and nephews. A private family viewing was held on Wednesday at DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen, followed by a funeral Mass at Epiphany of Our Lord Church with Father Michael J. Crookston as celebrant. Entombment followed in Mon Valley Memorial Park Mausoleum, Donora. Condolences accepted for the family at www.dalfonso-billick.com.
