Barbara M. Raymond, 86, of New Eagle, died unexpectedly Friday, March 25, 2022, in her home. She was born March 30, 1935, in North Charleroi, the daughter of Milsom Jenion and Twyla Shannon Worthington. Barbara was a 1953 graduate of Monessen High School. She was a member of the Golden Agers Charleroi Group, a former member of the New Eagle Community Action Group, the Book Bites Reading Club at Monongahela Area Library and a friend of Bill W. She loved to embroider and spend time with her family. She is survived by four children, John R. (Kim) Anders of Coal Center, Ellen (Ronald) Palmer of New Eagle, Beth Homer of New Eagle and William H. (Leslie) Anders of North Versailles; eight grandchildren, Charen Housley, Carlin (Jeremy) Gerba, Crystal (Jake) Jackson, Maureen Anders, Lindsey (Mike) Bongiorno, Kristen (Brian) Bojarski, Garrett (Kim) Homer and Cameron (Kayla) Homer; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and brother, William Worthington of Low Hill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Raymond, who died April 10, 2007; granddaughter, Rebecca Palmer; grandson-in-law, William Housley; and brother, Milsom Jenion. Friends will be received from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2022, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2022, with the Rev. Regis Turocy officiating. Inurnment will be private in Maple Creek Cemetery, Charleroi. Memorial contributions may be made to Washington Area Humane Society, P.O. Box 66, Eighty Four, PA, 15330. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.fryefuneralhome.com.
