Emory R. Dobos, 79, of White Oak, died Sunday, March 20, 2022. He was born in McKeesport, on Oct. 4, 1942, and is the son of the late Henry and Irene Revak Dobos. He was employed for over 45 years by the City of McKeesport and the Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County and was the assistant superintendent of the McKeesport division. He was a member of the Eleventh Ward Club and Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Angela Merici Church. He also served in the Army National Guard. Emory was a beloved and dedicated husband, father and great friend to many. He will be missed. He is survived by his wife Dolores “Lola” Martinez Dobos; son, John Dobos of White Oak; and daughter, Cristina Dobos also of White Oak; brothers, Eugene Dobos of Monroeville, Wayne (Ginny) Dobos of North Versailles; niece, Jessica Dobos Marsh; sister-in-law, Linda (Peter) Gentili of North Huntingdon; and brother-in-law, George R. Schlicht of McKeesport. Friends and family are welcome from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2022, at STRIFFLERS OF WHITE OAK CREMATION AND MORTUARY SERVICES, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). Mass of Catholic Christian burial will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2022, at Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Angela Merici Church, 1640 Fawcett Ave., White Oak, PA 15131.
