Verna F. Syplywchak – Monongahela

Verna F. Syplywchak, 93, of Monongahela, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at Penn Highlands Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was born in Footedale, Pa., on Aug. 7, 1928, daughter of the late Charles and Pearl Campbell Reeves. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Syplywchak, on July 19, 2008; two sisters, Ruth Hnot and Darlene Zook; and a brother, Chuck Reeves. Surviving to cherish her memory are two daughters, Janet (Michael) Scrip of Fallowfield Township and Jill (Richard) Baldwin of Rostraver Township; a son, Scott Syplywchak of North Charleroi; grandchildren, Michael (Kim), Matthew (Erin), Danielle, Melissa, Richie, Alison and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Abby, Mia, Mason and Cole; a sister, Linda Davis of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. At the request of the family, private visitation and funeral services were held. Entombment followed at Mon Valley Memorial Park in Donora.
