Paul Frank Stanisz, 96, of Monessen, passed away on March 15, 2022, at Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. He was born on Jan. 21, 1926, in Monessen, to Frank and Catherine Zima Stanisz. He was retired from Westinghouse Electric, Waltz Mill plant, where he had worked as a machinist. He also worked for McKelvies auto body and Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Allenport Plant. He was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic Church and served his country as corporal in the United States Army Air Corps. He was also a member of the Polish National Alliance and Slovene National Benefit Society. Paul is survived by his two sons, David (Cissy) Stanisz of Monessen, Michael (Betty Ann) Sinnamond of Monessen; four grandsons, David Stanisz of Monessen, Frank (Amy) Stanisz of New Port News, Va., Darrin (Bekah) Stanisz of Monessen, Bradley (Eric) Meteger of Charleroi; two granddaughters, Caroline (Stephen) Eck of Belle Vernon, Bridgette Stanisz of Monessen; great-grandchildren, Elaina, Lyla Jean, Ciara, Beverly, Tino and Shannon; a great-great-grandson, Thomas; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean L. (Krance) Stanisz; son, Dennis Stanisz; daughter, Donna Jean Wetzler; brother, John Stanish; and two sisters, Mary Todaro and Helen Pehote. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc., Grand Boulevard and Marion Avenue, Monessen. Funeral services will begin with a blessing service at 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2022, at ROBERT A. BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC., followed by a funeral Mass at Epiphany of Our Lord Church with Father Michael J. Crookston, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Hyacinth’s Cemetery.
