Burt Lee Ruth, age 64, of Johnstown, Colo., formerly of Monongahela, passed away Friday, March 4, 2022, at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Colo. He was born Oct. 1, 1957, in Fellsburg, the son of the late Howard Ruth and the late Vivian Johnston Ruth. Burt was a pipefitter working through Plumber and Pipefitters Local Union 354. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time at his hunting camp in Marienville, Pa. He was a member of the Victory Hill Social Club, the Mingo Rod and Gun Club and the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. He was a former Mon Valley Youth Baseball coach. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Patti Laneve Ruth; a daughter, Aimee (Nathan) Massafra of Broomfield, Colo.; a son, Ross (Krista) Ruth of Charleroi; grandson, Brecken Massafra; a brother, William A (Toni) Ruth of Pittsburgh; two sisters-in-law, Alice (Richard) Pastella and Margie (TR) Brounce; two brothers-in-law, Louis Laneve and Leonard (Karen) Laneve; and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900, where friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2022. Friends who wish to attend the funeral services are asked to meet at Mon Valley Memorial Park Mausoleum at 11 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2022. Entombment will follow at Mon Valley Memorial Park in Donora.
