Christina Lynn Cook-Hickman – Monessen

By obits

Christina Lynn Cook-Hickman, 62, of Monessen, was received by angels on Feb. 20, 2022. She was born on Nov. 14, 1959, in Charle- roi, the daughter of the late George W. Cook and Julia Nancy Jackson-Cook. She was also preceded in death by a son, Carlson Cook; six brothers, Herman, Lee, Joe, Jack and George Cook and Sherman Fears; and six sisters, Dorothy Coles, Mary Jane Lawson, Ruth Stamper, Ruby Crawley, Addie Whitner and Anita Cook. Christine was currently employed at Diversified Human Services in Charleroi. She was a devoted church member and was faithful to her loving church family at St. Paul Baptist Church of Donora. She served on the missionary board, praise team and choir. She loved to play her special game of bingo, loved singing, enjoyed taking vacations and hanging out with family and friends. She loved her grandsons who were so special to her heart and would do anything for them. Most of all, she loved worshiping the Lord with her infectious smile that would fill up a room. She leaves to cherish her loving memory five brothers, Robert (Leola) Cook of Pittsburgh, Robert (Eve) Fears of Terre Haute, Ind., Hosie (Deanna) Cook of Monongahela, Elton Cook of Monessen and William Cook of Merrillville, Ind.; three sisters, Julia Fears of Waukegan, Ill., and Melony Cook and Shelia Cook of Donora; two grandchildren, Dontae and Dorian Cook of Monessen; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Cook of Uniontown and Jenny Cook of Pittsburgh; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Christine will be sadly missed; her soul has been anchored in the Lord. Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022, at St. Paul Baptist Church, 53 S. McKean Ave., Donora, where the funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. The eulogy will be given by Pastor Lee A. Haney Sr. of St. Paul Baptist Church in Donora. Final celebrations are entrusted to MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, PA 15063, 724258-6767, marshallmarrafuneralhome.com. Masks are required.
