Carole Ann Malarbi – Monessen

By obits

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Carole A. Sivek Malarbi, 79, of Monessen, on Thursday, March 3, 2022. Carole, also known as “Bunnie,” was a 1961 graduate of Monessen High School. Carole worked in Monessen at Ann’s Bakery, Winn’s Insurance Agency, PNC Bank and multiple retail stores due to her love for fashion. Her most beloved job above all was being a mom to her four daughters and a Mimi to her seven grandchildren. She enjoyed being a caregiver for her grandchildren and nieces throughout her retirement years. You often found Mimi/Aunt Bun playing tea party, school, store, crafting, making forts and whatever else her creative mind thought of with her precious little ones. She loved family gatherings, cooking, baking, gardening and decorating for all holidays. Her four daughters will continue the “tree in every room” legacy every Christmas. Carole had a gift of knowing how to say the right thing at the right time, making you feel special, and she loved all unconditionally. She felt very blessed with her four daughters, grandchildren and family, but we were the ones truly blessed. Her dear friend described Carole as “to know her was to love her,” which couldn’t be more true. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anna Latta Sivek and William Sivek; two sisters, Nancy Amati and Alice Iorio; and brother, Thomas Sivek. She is survived by her four daughters, Rochele (Patrick) Cantini of Monongahela, Renee (Ed) Rayburg of Venetia, Rosalyn Malarbi of Monessen and Rebecca (Brook) Gardner of Fayette City; seven grandchildren, Celina and Gianni Cantini, Reed, Mara and Madee Rayburg and Brynn and Reece Gardner; a sister-in-law, Paulette Sivek; two brothers-in-law, David Amati and Tony Iorio; and her nieces, Precious, Brianna and Chianti; and nephew, Anthony. Carole prided herself on being kind, accepting, loving and selfless. She will be greatly missed by so many. “Ears that truly listen, arms that always hold, with love that’s never ending.” Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2022, at DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. Services will be held Monday, March 7, 2022, beginning with a 9:15 a.m. blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass in St. Andrew the Apostle, Monongahela. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen. Condolences accepted for the family at www.dalfonso-billick.com.
