‘A true public servant:’ Former Monessen mayor James A. Sepesky dies

One of the most respected and well-known public servants in the history of Monessen is being remembered for his love of community, his dedication as a family man and lifelong teacher and his willingness to serve the city he loved.
Former Monessen Mayor James A. Sepesky, who also served as a councilman and school board director, passed away Tuesday, his family announced. He was 82. Friends and family are remembering Sepesky as a respected and admired pillar of the community.
