Joyce Dimperio Begg, 82, passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 18, 2022, at her residence in North Huntingdon. A daughter of the late Dominic and Elvera Caruso Dimperio, Joyce was born May 10, 1939, in Monessen. Joyce graduated from Monessen High School in 1957 and was also a graduate of Douglas Business School in Monessen and Cosmetology School in Greensburg. Before her retirement, she was employed as a certified nursing assistant (private duty) and worked for Precise Metals & Plastics. She is survived by her cherished children, Carla (William) Lavelle of Odessa, Fla., Steven (Kelly) Begg of North Huntingdon, and Michael (Carrie Blacka) Begg of North Huntingdon, with whom she lived; grandchildren, Taran (Michael) Pantaleo of Odessa, Fla., Brandon (Rashee) Lavelle, of Land O’Lakes, Fla., and Madison Begg and Zach Begg of North Huntingdon; and great-grandchildren, Brandon, Anthony and Guilanna Pantaleo and Elijah Lavelle. She is also survived by one sister, Rita Marie (Don) Dustolfo; special nieces, Diane Poznick and Susan (Gino) Fagnilli; and other nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Carl Begg. Joyce loved baking and cooking, and her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. Joyce was a Catholic by faith and formerly belonged to Immaculate Conception Church in Irwin. Joyce belonged to the former 1957 lunch group of Monessen and Goldenagers in Irwin. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to JOSEPH F. OTT FUNERAL HOME, Irwin, where a private memorial service will be held for family members.
