Anthony ‘Tony’ Moneta – Greensburg

Anthony “Tony” Moneta, 78, of Greensburg, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Feb. 21, 2022. A son of the late Anthony and Dorothy Rutherford Moneta, he was born in North Charleroi on Oct. 5, 1943. Formerly of Belle Vernon, Tony had been a resident of Greensburg since 1973. He was a member of the Char Belle Free Methodist Church in Belle Vernon and the Rostraver Sportsman’s Club. Tony retired from Lance Incorporated, where he had been employed as a route sales representative for 37 years. He was also a proud U.S. Navy veteran. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Tim Syrek of Washington, Pa.; a son, Anthony Moneta of Mason, Ohio; two granddaughters, Hannah Moneta of Mt. Pleasant, and Samantha Noll of Washington, Pa.; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Trudy and Bob Rhoderick of Monongahela, and Brenda and Jeff Wyne of Perryopolis. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com, 724-929-5300. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday with Pastor Eugene Spear officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
