Robert M. Gallas, 69, of Tidioute, Pa., passed away on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022, at Allegheny General Hospital. Born on Sept. 7, 1952, he was the son of the late Michael and Ann Homas Gallas of Monessen. He was a 1970 graduate of Monessen High School. Bob had been employed by Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Inc. and attended Mount Aloysius College after the mill closed. Upon graduating, he began a second career working at Warren State Hospital as a therapeutic recreation service worker primarily in the forensic department. Following retirement, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, music and political debate. Bob is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Debra and Greg Resetar of Rostraver Township; three nephews and their families, Brian and Kristin Resetar (Taylor and Jordynn), Chad and Shanna Resetar (Paxton, and future great-niece) and Eric Resetar. Also surviving are an aunt and uncle, several cousins and two special friends, Russ and Herb. Private burial arrangements were entrusted to RHOME FUNERAL HOME in Monessen.
