Monessen extends emergency declaration for Health Mart building

Monessen City Council voted Wednesday to extend the five-day emergency declaration regarding 500 Donner Ave. until the risk posed by the building is remediated.
At an emergency meeting, Mayor Ron Mozer explained that more bricks fell from the former Health Mart building and onto Fifth Street Wednesday — one week after bricks started coming down.
