Ronald S. Milton, 82, of New Eagle, passed away on Feb. 14, 2022, in his home. Born Feb. 13, 1940, in his family’s home in Carroll Township, he was the son of the late Michael and Virginia Evans Milton. He graduated from Monongahela High School in 1958 and went on to serve in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany during the Cold War. Ron worked for 32 years as the maintenance supervisor for the Mt. Lebanon School District until his retirement in 2000. A member of First Presbyterian Church in Monongahela, he also belonged to the Charleroi Archery Club, where he met a great group of guys that he met with every morning. He shot competitive archery and loved the game of tennis as much as he enjoyed teaching it to anyone who wanted to play. Ron started the Monongahela Racqueteers Tennis Team and competed against other towns. He belonged to the South Park Tennis League and was an assistant coach for the Ringgold High School girls tennis team along with Sally Phillips. An avid hunter and fisherman, he always enjoyed hunting in Shawnee, Pa., and fishing with his late father-in-law, James Francheshi. He was a family man who enjoyed spending every waking moment with them. Surviving are two daughters, Ronica (Chris) Fronzaglio of Monongahela and Roxann (Darin) Roth of Baltimore, Md.; a brother, Sam (Betty) Milton of New Eagle; a sister, Carrie (James) Campisi of New Eagle; two grandchildren, Chrisney J. and Gabrielle J. Fronzaglio; sisters-in-law, Janice Milton of Bentleyville, Bette Morton of Monongahela and Linda Hoosac of New Eagle; along with many nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Bonne J. Franceshi Milton, who died Sept. 18, 2012; four brothers, Jay, John and Tom Milton and Robert Milton, who died as an infant; two brothers-in-law, Leon Hoosac and John Morton; a sister-in-law, Karen Milton; and his late nephew, Tommy Milton. Friends and family will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022, at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with his cousin, Dave Evans, officiating.
