Yolanda ‘Yola’ Mendarino Reday – Monessen

Yolanda “Yola” Mendarino Reday, 86, of Monessen, passed away on Feb. 11, 2022. A 1954 graduate of Donora High School, she went on to manage Atlas Merchandising for over 40 years. A member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church in Monessen, Yola was a beloved wife, mother, sister and aunt. She was always quick to lift spirits with a joke, song and smile. She enjoyed travel with her husband in their younger years, and shopping trips with family. Preceded in death by her parents Louie and Josephine Mendarino, Yola is survived by her sweetheart of 54 years, Bernard Reday; her daughter, Marsha Myers; siblings, Rose, Beatrice and Carl Mendarino, Joan and Don Garland, Grace and Jim Manges, Gloria and Bob Backstrom; and many nieces and nephews. Private funeral services were held for the family at DALFONSO- BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, and entombment followed in Grandview Cemetery. The family would like to express its gratitude for the care and companionship given by Hallsworth House, Dr. John and Joan Holets.
