Donald W. Mankin – Belle Vernon

Donald W. Mankin, 70, of Belle Vernon, Washington Township, passed away Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022, at Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital in Carroll Township. Born Dec. 2, 1951, in North Charleroi, he was the son of the late Emmett Mankin and Gertrude Austin Mankin Fulmer. He graduated from Frazier High School and later enlisted in the U.S. Army, then the Army Reserves. He worked at various jobs and retired from the former Koppers plant in Monessen. He loved watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Penguins, loved to ride his Harley and work on cars. He is survived by his wife, Lenore Leeper Mankin; son, Nathan William Mankin; daughter, Tina Marie and husband Tracey Keller; son, Donald W. Mankin Jr.; two grandchildren; three brothers, Emmett Mankin, Jerry Mankin and Leslie Mankin; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, William Fulmer. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183, followed by funeral services at 4 p.m. with Pastor Donald Glunt of Rehoboth Church officiating.
