Kenneth “Archie” Arthur Miriello, 77, passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 8, 2022, at the Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital after battling COVID-19 for the past year. Kenneth hailed from Swissvale and has lived and raised a family in Monongahela for 50 years. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Mary Baumann Miriello. He was the proud father to three daughters, Lanette (Terry) Ashcraft and Laura (Bob) Manko, all of Finleyville, and Tina Ivory of Monongahela. Kenneth was a grandfather of five, Gregory Jr., Gage and Gavin Ivory and Nathan and Trista Manko.  He also had the blessing of being a great-grandfather to two young boys, Bryson and Jayson Ivory. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Gregory Ivory, who passed away on July 19, 2001; and six brothers. Kenneth was born on May 11, 1944, in Braddock, to Francisco and Cecilia Weis Miriello and was the youngest of seven boys in his family. He worked for 42 years at the Omni William Penn hotel in Pittsburgh. Ken was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan who loved to cheer them on every Sunday in the fall. Ken was known to have a beautiful personality and a smile that would light up a room. Even though a failing heart took him away from this world, his loving heart left a beacon of light for all in his life. FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS. Family and friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, 2022, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, where a funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Jude Urso officiating. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Fund the Funeral, www.fundthefuneral.com.
