Edward A. Hepple – Charleroi

Edward A. Hepple, 73, of Charleroi, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022, in Mon Valley Hospital. A son of the late Gertrude Hepple and Arthur Haney, he was born in North Charleroi on Aug. 10, 1948. A resident of Charleroi for the past 49 years, Edward was an avid Disney fan. He was a U.S. Army veteran and started working in 1974 at Wheeling-Pittsburgh’s Monessen plant. In 2014, he retired from the Allenport plant after 40 years. Survivors include his wife, Ann Barron Hepple, to whom he would have been married 50 years on April 15, 2022; a daughter, Melinda Hepple; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeremy and Christi Hepple of Speers and Christopher and Tammy Hepple of Smithton; four grandchildren, Tiffany (DJ) Rechichar, Zachary, Skylar and Jase Hepple; three step-grandchildren, Kayla McBeth, Fay Ornot and Emma Koerner; eight great-grandchildren, Landon and Laikyn Rechichar, Veronika and Kendall McBeth, Brayden, Lillian, Vivian and Evelyn Ornot and Linzley Rechichar “on the way”; a sister, Joy (Ken) Folle of Daisytown; a brother, Gene (Maggie) Hepple of Daisytown, a brother-in-law, Merle Barron III; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Marty Haney; two great-grandchildren, Tyler McBeth and Aizlynn Ornot; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Eleanor Barron and Merle Barron Jr. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, at Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300. A memorial service will begin at noon Wednesday with the Rev. Sandy Fitzgibbons officiating, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com.
