Paula Bagay – Carroll Township

By obits

Paula Bagay, 63, of Carroll Township, on Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022, was called home by our Lord Jesus Christ on the feast of the Presentation of the Lord and she is with Him in paradise along with her mom and dad. She was born on March 9, 1958, the daughter of the late Joseph Mrochek and the late Marie Pykosh Mrochek. Paula loved teaching English to all her students at Monessen, Charleroi, Ringgold and Bentworth. She was an avid gardener, raising both vegetables and flowers. She also loved making floral arrangements and crocheting. Paula loved spending time with her family doing things like going out to eat or spending a relaxing day at Ohiopyle. Her father was a great baseball player and instilled a love for the game in his daughter. She also loved animals, especially cats. Surviving to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 26 years, Edward “Butch” Bagay Jr.; her daughter, Sarah Bagay; and several cousins. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022. A blessing service will be celebrated at noon Monday, Feb. 7, 2022, in the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Dominic Cemetery. To be socially responsible during this time of the increase in COVID-19 cases due to the new variants, we will continue to require guests to obey social distancing guidelines and personal protection guidelines which include masks within the funeral home.
