Anthony L. Katsuleris – Monongahela

Anthony L. Katsuleris, 79, of Monongahela, passed away on Feb. 3, 2022, in his home. Tony was born in Monessen, on March 24, 1942, son of the late Louis and Clara Krofchek Kerekes-Katsuleris. He graduated from Monessen High School in 1960 and for the next five years served in the National Guard. For almost 40 years, he worked in the maintenance department at Irvin Works Mill until his retirement. He was a member and served many years as an usher at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish in Monongahela. Anthony was a member of the Slovak Club in Monongahela and the Hoot Owls and the Haymakers clubs in New Eagle. Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann Ellsworth Katsuleris, with whom he celebrated 54 years of marriage on the day of his passing; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas “Kats” (Jamie) Katsuleris of Mt. Holly, N.C.; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly (Peter) Leoni of Monongahela; one brother, George Katsuleris of York; a sister and brother-in-law, Maria (Lou) Sepe of Washington, Pa.; four grandchildren, Matthew and Jacob Katsuleris and Emily and Randy Drake; two great-grandchildren, Camden and Lauren Katsuleris; and his granddog, Tutu. Friends will be received at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022, where a blessing service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 7, 2022, with Father Kevin Dominik officiating.
