Berlyn Lewis – Elizabeth

Berlyn Lewis, age 96, of Elizabeth, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022, at Heritage Manor Senior Living. He retired as a supervisor for Hercules in Clairton. He was a member of Round Hill Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth Township, where he was a former deacon and a member of the Thriving Survivors Senior Group. A World War II U.S. Air Force veteran and former member of the Civil Air Patrol, he was a former security guard with Landmark Security Services. Born Sept. 28, 1925, in Large, he was a son of the late Daniel and Hannah (Lewis) Lewis and husband of the late Katherine Zofchak Lewis. He is survived by his daughters, Nancy (Mark) Neff of Elizabeth and Sandra Geiss of Elizabeth; grandchildren, Jonathan (Rachel) Neff of Forward Township, Katherine (Scott) Jamison of Elizabeth, Craig (Lauren) Geiss of Bloomington, Ind., and Steven (Emily) Geiss of Columbia, Mo.; great-grandchildren, Elijah Neff and Anna, Chillian, Kieran and Cormac Jamison; along with nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by sister, Leona Kessler; and brothers, William, Orville and Daniel Lewis and David Alderson. Friends will be received at PAUL E. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME, 221 North Second Ave., Elizabeth, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022. A funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, 2022, in Round Hill Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. D. Matthew Stith officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH.
