Timothy ‘Timmy’ Artemas Smith – Greensburg

Timothy “Timmy” Artemas Smith, 49, of Greensburg, departed to be with the King on Jan. 17, 2022. He was born on July 18, 1972, in Pittsburgh, the son of Shelva Smith and James Dickerson of Charleroi. Timmy worked for United Parcel Service (UPS), providing 25-plus years of service. He enjoyed golfing with friends, riding his sports bike, traveling and music. He was known for riding with the loudest car stereo sound systems, given the nickname “Tim Boom.” You always knew when he was near. He also enjoyed spending time with his loved ones and being the best father, son and older brother. Timmy dedicated his life to God and spent his life studying the Word of God, spreading the Word to everyone he could. He was a wise man, who was very passionate about sharing his knowledge to all. Timmy would light up the room. There was not a time when he was not smiling, laughing or being himself. Timmy is preceded in death by his stepfather, Shelton Jones. He is survived by his daughter, A’syah Smith; daughter at heart, Arionna Clark; son at heart, Jaden Watts; mother, Shelva Smith; father, James Dickerson; siblings, Toscha Blalock, Timothy Hall, Sharie Smith, Shawntae Smith, Shelly Smith; brother at heart, James Hall; aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins; and companion, Melissa White. Timmy will be missed by many, forever loved and will never be forgotten. Viewing will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022, with the service starting at 11 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 230 Reed Ave., Monessen, Pa. The eulogist will be Pastor Maurice Wade Jr. Interment will be in Mon Valley Memorial Park. Celebration of life has been gently placed in the hands of HOUSE OF JACKSON MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 546 Thompson Ave., Donora, Pa., Karl Jackson, funeral director, 724-379-5420.
