Agnes Ann Kurtz – Charleroi

Agnes Ann Kurtz, 91, of Charleroi, passed away peacefully in her own home on Jan. 26, 2022, with her family by her side. Born in Grindstone on Nov. 17, 1930, Agnes is the daughter of the late Martin and Susan Locke. She enjoyed watching the Food Network and loved spending time in the kitchen cooking. She also enjoyed family time and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Charleroi. Agnes is survived by her sons, Mark (Kathryn) Boyle of North Charleroi and William (Joanne, deceased) Locke Kurtz of Du Bois; as well as her grandchildren, Richard (Michelle) Boyle, Kimberly (Justin) Heckman, Eryca Boyle, William Grant Kurtz, Jonathan Alexander Kurtz and Cayce (fiancé Chet Grosser) Nagy; along with her 17 great-grandchildren. In addition to her mother and father, Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, William Kurtz. Arrangements have been entrusted to HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC. (formerly Schrock- Hogan Funeral Home), 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022. Kirk Russell Melenyzer, funeral director. Interment will occur at Lafayette Memorial Park at a later date.
