Patricia Jaycox Shaw – Mount Vernon

Patricia Jaycox Shaw, 96, of Mount Vernon, passed away peacefully at home on Jan. 24, 2022. She was born March 17, 1925, in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late H. Melvin Jaycox and Agatha (Volk) Jaycox. She was the wife of the late Dayne Shaw, who passed away March 8, 2008. Patricia was a member of the Mount Vernon Community Presbyterian Church and was a former member of the McKeesport Hospital Junior Committee, McKeesport College Club and the Twentieth Century Club. She was a graduate of Chatham University. She is survived by her children, Tricia Shaw Warren (Steve) and Rebecca Shaw McHolme (Stan Stein); grandchildren, Margaret Warren, Dayne Warren (Britni Kress), Caird McHolme (Katie) and Molly Watterworth (Blake); great-grandchildren, Dayne, Ellis and Jaime Watterworth and Isla McHolme; niece, Dayna Sear (Shawn); nephew, Christian Shaw (Shannon); and beloved friends and caretakers. Friends are welcome Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday, Jan. 31, 2022 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the GILBERT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, INC., 6028 Smithfield St., Boston, Elizabeth Township, 412-751-5000, Drew J. Gilbert, director. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, Jan. 31, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Paul Walter officiating. Private interment will follow at Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the McKeesport Hospital Foundation, c/o Heather Pavlik, UPMC McKeesport Administration, 1500 Fifth Ave., McKeesport, PA 15132.
