Betty L. Teska – Perryopolis

Betty L. Teska, 88, of Perryopolis, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022, in Mon Valley Care Center. The daughter of the late Phillip and Addie McGavitt Daugherty, she was born in Belle Vernon on Nov. 28, 1933. A resident of Perryopolis most of her adult life, Betty was a homemaker and a very loving mom, grandmother, friend and neighbor. She is survived by her son, Jeffery H. Teska of Perryopolis; four grandchildren, Jason (Carolyn) Teska of Perryopolis, Joshua Teska of Perryopolis, Hannah (Rick) Beeson of Pittsburgh, and Hope (J.T.) Inman of Killeen, Texas; and five great-grandchildren, Giana, Waylon, Jayce, Hadley and Aubrey. She is also survived by her adopted family, Winona Hoffman and sons, Jake, Isaac, Ethan and Evan. Betty also helped raise Sara Morales of Texas. The last survivor of her brothers and sisters, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Teska, on Dec.19, 1993. Betty’s favorite saying to visitors was, “Darlin, would you like a glass of iced tea and what can I fix you to eat?” Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, 2022, at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. Funeral services will be in the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022, with Pastor Donald Glunt officiating. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park.
