Louis Bucci – Rostraver Township

Louis Bucci, 82, of Rostraver Township, passed away on Jan. 20, 2022, in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. He was born in New Eagle on Nov. 24, 1939, a son of the late Luigi and Mary Alice Pulasky Bucci. Lou had been a coal miner prior to his retirement. He was a member of St. John the Divine Orthodox Church of Monessen. Lou enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, family gatherings, bonfires and playing cards, especially “Criss Cross.” In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Barkey; a brother, John Bucci; his in-laws, Helen and John Nelson; and his nephew, Aaron Oblack. Surviving are his wife, Donna Nelson Bucci; his sons, U.S. Army Capt. Greg and wife Jenna Bucci, and David Bucci; and granddaughter, Natalie Bucci; a nephew, Michael and wife Dana Bucci; a niece, Tanya Bucci; his sister-in-law, Carole and husband Jack Oblack; nephew, John Eric and wife Kim Oblack; and niece, Ondrea Oblack. Lou is also survived by his “Fishing Buddy,” Joe “Jose” Billy. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen, where friends will be welcomed from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, in the funeral home. Online condolences may be conveyed to the Bucci family at www.rhomefuneralhome.com.
