Paul E. Talaga – Monongahela

Paul E. Talaga, 64, of Monongahela, Carroll Township, passed away suddenly on Jan. 18, 2022, in St. Clair Hospital. He was born on Feb. 17, 1957, son of the late Alexander and Evelyn Gast Talaga. He graduated from the former Mon Valley Catholic High School in 1975, and then attended Penn Tech and Colorado Technical University where he earned his project management and business degree. Paul worked several jobs over the years. From 1990 to 1996, he worked at Abbott Laboratories and from 1998 to 2003 at Marquette Medical Systems, followed by Crystalline in Monessen as a field service engineer and currently was working as a flooring associate for Home Depot in Bethel Park. Paul had been attending the Baldwin Methodist Church in Whitehall. He was a former ham radio operator and enjoyed attending country music concerts, especially Garth Brooks. Paul is survived by his companion, Dorinda Kibler of Pittsburgh; a brother and sister-in-law, William (Diane) Talaga of Monongahela; a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara (Bernie) Sylvester of Lancaster; a stepdaughter, Megan Amati; two step-grandchildren, Nico and Richie Mull; nephews, William II (Erika) Talaga, Ben Sylvester and Samuel Talaga; nieces, Jennifer (Jesse) Bowen, Gabriella Murray and Elizabeth Talaga; a great-niece and great-nephews, Alex Bowen and Andrew and Charlotte Talaga; and his faithful dogs, Maple and Willow. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Manko) Talaga, who died Dec. 6, 2015; a brother, Matthew Talaga; and a sister, who died as an infant, Susan Talaga. Friends will be received at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, with a service beginning at 4:30 p.m. with Pastor Pamela Gardner officiating.
