William H. ‘Bill’ Donovan – Pittsburgh, formerly of Charleroi

William H. “Bill” Donovan, 44, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Charleroi, passed away on Friday, Jan. 14, 2022. Bill was born on July 3, 1977, in Uniontown, son of Harry W. Donovan of Fallowfield Township and the late Mary Ellen Grote Donovan, who passed away Jan. 21, 2014. Bill graduated in 1995 from Charleroi Area High School and then attended the Washington Hospital School of Nursing and was currently working as a registered nurse for the Pittsburgh VA Hospital. Catholic by faith and an avid reader, Bill enjoyed watching horror movies, playing his guitar and listening to music, martial arts, snakes, animals, especially dogs, and was a fan of the Liverpool Football Club. He is survived, in addition to his dad, by a brother, Michael Donovan of Charleroi; two sisters, Laura (Peter) Perrier and Holly M. (Jacob) McKee, both of Pittsburgh; his longtime girlfriend, Heather Martin of Pittsburgh; along with many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, 2022, at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, where a blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Washington County Humane Society, 1527 PA Route 136, Eighty Four, PA 15330. Condolences can be made online at marshallmarrafuneralhome.com.
