Robert J. Kushner, 83, of Cranberry Township, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022, at home. Born Sept. 4, 1938, in Glassport, he was the son of the late Joseph A. Kushner and Stephanie Zakrzewski Kushner. Survivors include his daughter, Christine (Kurt) Pawlak; his daughter-in-law, Angela Kushner; his grandchildren, Sarah and Connor Pawlak and Daniel and Michael Kushner; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley Torboli Kushner; his son, Robert W. Kushner; and his sisters, Joan Clark and Sylvia Lewan Meta. Robert graduated from Glassport High School, Class of 1957, where he was a talented basketball player for the Glassport Gladiators. He also played the saxophone, loved to draw and paint and listen to oldies music. Robert will be remembered as a soft-spoken, kind and generous man who loved his family and was proud of his grandchildren. Services for Robert will be held privately by his family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Boylan-Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 130 Wisconsin Ave., P.O. Box 2155, Cranberry Township, PA 16066.
