Mary Ann Greco Germinario, 63, of Monessen, passed away after a breakthrough case of COVID-19 on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2022, in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. She was born on Aug. 28, 1958, in North Charleroi, the daughter of the late Ralph J. Greco and Eleanor Lettiero Greco. Mary Ann was a lifelong resident of Monessen, a 1976 graduate of Monessen High School and a 1980 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in elementary education. She taught at Epiphany Catholic School until it closed. Mary Ann then accepted a position as program specialist for the behavior health program for SPHS in Charleroi and most recently was a site monitor at its Henry Commons II building. Mary Ann was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church and was a devoted sports fan of all Pittsburgh sports teams and Monessen Greyhound sports teams. She is survived by a son, Giuseppe Germinario of Syracuse, N.Y.; a daughter, Marisa Germinario of Pittsburgh; and her dear cousins, Barlow, Cathi, Roseanne (JoJo), Joanne, Lisa and Joe (Donna). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Germinario, in 2016; and an aunt, Louise Lettiero. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022, at DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. Services will be held Friday, Jan. 21, 2022, beginning with a blessing service at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass with the Rev. Michael J. Crookston as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Hyacinth’s Cemetery in Monessen. The family kindly requests those attending the viewing and funeral service to wear a mask.
