Ruth Rizzo – Bentleyville, formerly of Fayette City

Ruth Rizzo, 78, of Bentleyville, formerly of Fayette City, passed away Monday, Jan. 10, 2022, in Promedica Nursing and Rehab, Whitehall. She was born Nov. 26, 1943, in Charleroi, daughter of Lawrence Mugrage and Christina Irwin Mugrage. Ruth worked at the former Stringhill’s Restaurant in Belle Vernon and enjoyed socializing and being with family and friends. She is survived by three nieces, Martha Girimonte, Sue Ellen Vavases and Wanda Mugrage; and two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Mugrage and Donna Mugrage. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Aaron Rizzo in 1996; five brothers, Howard, Warren, Lawrence, Jerry and David; a nephew, Alan Mugrage; and three nieces, Sharon Glesk, Bonnie Nutt and Brenda Mugrage-Stein. Graveside committal services and interment will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022, at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Fayette City, with the Rev. Wayne Boring officiating. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to ELEY/MCCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC., Fayette City, Pa.
