Michael Joseph Sapko, 50, of Smithton, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2022. Born in Rostraver Township on May 20, 1971, he was the son of Peggy Nicolette Sapko of Smithton and the late Ronald A. Sapko. Michael was a millwright at U.S. Steel Irvin Works. In addition to his mother, Michael is survived by his sister, Ronda Sapko of West Newton. Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com, where a funeral service will be held at 6 p.m.
